Gwyn Welliver

Hello.  I’m Gwyn Welliver, Director of Trinity Preschool.  My husband, Tim, and I have lived in New Albany for 24 years.  I came to Trinity Preschool with our two children in 2003 and never left!  As an educator, the joy and satisfaction I experienced volunteering in the classroom lead me to join the staff here in 2006, teaching every age group in every classroom.  My absolute favorite thing about teaching young children and mentoring staff is that “I did it!” moment.  The light bulb goes off and pride and confidence show on that person’s face. Unlike Pastor Chris, I am an introvert.  Introverts need time and quiet. However, God has given me almost 20 years at Trinity to grow.  At Trinity Preschool, we believe children learn by doing through play.  “When we treat children’s play as seriously as it deserves, we are helping them feel the joy that’s to be found in the creative spirit.
